San José, Costa Rica – At Reelax Media, we believe that the power of a story is directly linked to the eye of the storyteller. Today we celebrate the addition of two new directors to our creative roster: Maria Paula Quesada and Andrés Bronnimann, two filmmakers who bring sensitivity, diversity and depth to the stories we want to tell with our clients.
Maria Paula Quesada is a Costa Rican writer, director, producer and actress. From an early age, she has cultivated a narrative marked by vulnerability, humor and empathy. A graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts, she has collaborated with Warner Bros. Discovery and produced for Sony Music and Universal Music Group. His short film Cabbage (2023) was internationally recognized, and his most recent work, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday (2025), premiered at the NFFTY festival, earned a nomination for Best Narrative Feature and won the Audience Award.
Andrés Bronnimann, filmmaker, writer and creative entrepreneur, was born in Costa Rica and has Mexican and Swiss roots. Since the age of six he has been behind a camera, creating stories. His work is divided between independent journalism and fiction filmmaking. In his documentaries he addresses human stories in contrasting contexts with a social and global focus. In fiction, he writes and directs original scripts exploring different genres with an expressionist style. In addition, he has worked on commercial campaigns aligned with his personal values. During the last year, he has focused part of his creative practice on the exploration of artificial intelligence as a narrative and visual tool, which has allowed him to generate innovative aesthetic experiences and push the boundaries of audiovisual language. His work seeks to provoke emotions and reflection, breaking with the cognitive dissonances of today’s world.
These additions reinforce and complement a solid creative proposal that already includes directors such as Fernando Fonseca and Adrián Castro, recognized for their visual sensitivity, narrative experience and cinematographic style. Together, they form a diverse team that allows our clients to explore different visual languages and tell their stories from new perspectives.
